Salih Gadi nominated himself to replace Bekhitay messenger Awajayi of keren. He is disaponted with his EDA  disapointed with higdef here are some of his rants"Like anyone else, I prayed for a better outcome from the Addis Ababa congress, but I think I knew the limitations and expected the outcome. Just look at the member organizations and tell me what you see! The crazy number of organizations with similar programs is proof that what ails the opposition is craving for power and a non-dignified thirst for a non-existing prestige. And you would expect some drastic move from the organizations to offset the failure they caused! It is like trying to squeeze honey from a rock. Maybe in their next meeting after one year or the one after that; they have all the time in the world.  If the EDA was an ambulance, I would want it to be called to carry any patient- the patient will die while the leaders argue on who will drive it. Some don't even have a driving license.

It sure is dispointing but I think they are all after the same 'pie' that Dictator Isaias Afwerki has - the Presidnecy. Basically, they proved that even though their political programs are in alignment, the individuals quest for Presidency or Power meant that they cannot work together.

For this reason, I am glad they did not succeed and if they are not going to reform themselves, LET THEM NEVER SUCCEED IN REPLACING THE CURRENT DICTATOR.

Logos,

what is wrong with you, qualifying our president as a dictator is a pure fantasy of a gossip.

Isaias Afwerki is a humble president cherished by all Eritreans who cares about the future of Eritrea and its well being.

He is probably the only non corrupt African leader who works hard with its government and people to bring Eritrea to development and for a better today and best future of Eritrean citizens.

Take care!

Afeworki needs to listen to other  well intentioned Eritreans and try to win the hearts and minds of the youth.Forget about the rifrafs they serve Isyas better than his Generals.

Good answer, Gemel. However, there is something called authoritarian, which fits the characteristic of PIA. While PIA is considred an excellent leader by African countries standard, but PIA is a leader who is not willing to compromise. Personally, I do not know him but from all the sources I refer to, he does seem to lack diplomacy skills. Given the circumstances though, I can understand and will look over that aspect of his personality. Generally, PIA is a good leader, he is not a dictator; NOT even by a long shot. Dictators like to squander public fund for their own private luxuries, and he is not that type of leader. But even good leaders can be perceived as bad when they over stay their welcome. I am not suggesting for him to step aside yet, but I would like to see opening up for near future transition. God forbid should something happen to this guy, many would not know what to do next. Its better to open many doors of continuity so the transition can go smooth. In fact, I would like to see my country change leaders without so much commotion and have the experienced leader contribute to the coming administration setting aside their personal feeling.

What persuasion? Persuasion was done to bring the disputing parties to court, so as to resolve the matter thru legal means. The resolution protocol was agreed to a Final & Binding, and to abide by the outcome no matter what the ruling is. By not enforcing the ruling, PCA under The Hague Court (king of all courts) is being undermined by nations who claim to respect the rule of law. What a shame!
